Analog Sundays

My connectedness with the world is getting exhausting. If you’re reading this, you’re probably just as bad as I am. It’s my job, its ingrained in my social life, etc. I’m standing up against this great injustice and the frustrations with always being connected will end.

On sundays.

I hope to return to reality every once a week. In effort to do that,  I’m going to try an experiment and take a weekly sabbatical and unplug. A truly revolutionary thought for me. That means powering down, no sitting hunched over a computer and more making/doing. No cell phone. No computer. No tv. Essentially: No Screen Sundays.

What if my friends want to do something? You’ll have to come over and knock on my door to see if I’m home or make plans on Saturday for Sunday. It means I’ll have find stuff to take up my time. Like reading a book. Or going into the mountains. Scary.

And like any good addict, I’ll start next Sunday.

Also, if anyone has an old record player, tape player or cd player that can plug into a home stereo system, I’ll be needing one. All my music playing devices have a screen involved.
